Cor: Deutsche Gründlichkeit at the top

Cor, het Duitse prestige label voor zitmeubelen, werd in 1954 opgericht door Helmut Lübke. Zij kregen hierbij ondersteuning van de prins van Bentheim-Tecklenburg. Als eerbetoon aan deze adellijke familie, die drie harten in hun wapenschild hadden, werd de naam 'Cor', het Latijnse woord voor 'hart', gekozen. En sindsdien wordt elk meubelstuk volledig vanuit het hart ontworpen en geproduceerd. Het grote voorbeeld hiervan is het zitconcept Cor Conseta. Het werd in het leven geroepen in 1963, de productie ging van start in 1964 en behoort ook vandaag nog altijd tot één van de topprestaties van deze meubelfabrikant. Cor is het toonbeeld van Duitse degelijkheid, en dat willen ze zo houden.

Cor is constantly falling in the prices

Cor keeps proving himself, over and over again. A great proof of this is the number of prizes they have won over the years. Just think of winning several Red Dot Design Awards, Interior Innovation Awards and the Good Design Award. These are just a few of the many prestigious awards that Cor has won. In order to maintain this top level, Cor collaborates with world-famous designers. Icons such as Peter Maly, Luigi Colani, Hartmut Esslinger and Rolf Heide have left their mark on various Cor furniture.

Cor Conseta: a timeless concept

In 1963 Cor appealed to the top designer Friedrich-Wilhelm Möller. The Cor Conseta concept was born. The philosophy behind these high quality seating furniture is that they are made to be enjoyed together. Con-seta' comes from the Latin con-sedere and means: sitting together. We would like to mention that a few years later, Möller founded its own company, Möller Design, which still stands for solid design furniture today. The Cor Conseta seating furniture is modular and therefore you can compose it yourself as you see fit. In addition, you choose the upholstery yourself. Do you opt for fabric or do you go for quality leather? The Cor Conseta sofa is quite sleek and simple. The look is determined by the gently curved shapes of the cushions.
