Furniture and wallpaper from Le Corbusier come together at Loncin Leuven

About Le Corbusier

Le Corbusier, born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris (La Chaux-de-Fonds, 6 October 1887- Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, 27 August 1965) was a Swiss-French architect and urban planner. He sits among the great architects of the 20th century.

Le Corbusier was far ahead of his time and was a creative jack-of-all-trades, besides being an architect and city planner he was also a painter, designer, writer, theorist...

His legacy is large and still influences today's designers and architects.

Le Corbusier was also skilled in designing furniture that is still very popular today. In our showrooms in Leuven and Zoutleeuw we also have an extensive range of furniture designed by Le Corbusier by the brand Cassina. La Fondation Le Corbusier has granted the rights to the Italian Cassina and keeps a watchful eye on the authenticity and quality of the design furniture designed by Le Corbusier.

Arte Le Corbusier wallpaper

The fact that Le Corbusier is still influencing current thinking and design is proven by the Belgian company Arte, a company specialised in high-quality and exclusive wallpaper.

Arte has always been looking for extra depth, meaning in his wallpaper and has been inspired in his search by Le Corbusier. Sketches, architectural ideas and the book "Polychromy Architectural" - an extensive study of colours - influence new designs by Arte that have been made in collaboration with La Fondation Le Corbusier with great finish and craftsmanship.

At Loncin, our interior design team - in our showroom in Leuven - have created a unique combination of the furniture and wallpaper, giving you an exceptional and unseen performance. This is an aspect of Le Corbusier that you have never seen before and is unique in Belgium. So be sure to come and have a look in Leuven.
